Caving at Pridhamsleigh Cavern in Devon is ideal cave for beginners wishing to go adventure caving. The maze system means there are always options to take, depending on each person’s level of confidence (e.g. if some people want to go a more difficult way, others can go an easier way and meet up a few metres after).
Similarly, Goat Church Cavern in Somerset offers a beginners adventure caving experience.
We prefer people to have been caving with us once before before we visit Bakers Pit Cave in Devon so that we have first hand understanding of your ability. This is slightly more technical cave, and of special conservation importance for the formations and wildlife within it.
The Short Trip at Swildon’s Hole to the 20ft Pot is suitable for beginners. For the more strenuous and committing Full Trip to Sump 1, which involves vertical caving, we ask that you’ve been caving with us at least once before.
