About the Sport Climbing Outdoors course:
Sport climbing is a great way to enjoy outdoor climbing in relative safety, whether it be climbing the Tufas of Thailand off a white sandy beach or the steep crimpy limestone of the Costa Blanca in Spain. The skills required are universal and, on this course, we will teach all you need to know to take this amazing sport outside anywhere around the world on bolts.
Whilst the ethics of traditional climbing hold fast in the UK (and rightly so) the accessibility and ease of bolt clipping and flexing those muscles in the sunshine is very enticing. Some people stick to sport climbing for a lifetime, whilst for others this is a stepping-stone and training for more serious traditional climbs.
This sports climbing course is a natural progression from ‘Step up to Lead Indoors’, and some indoor lead climbing experience is essential.
We would recommend combining this with other Learn to Lead courses for a more in-depth learning experience. There may be a discount for course combinations. Please enquire for details.
