About the Rock Improver course:
Whether you are relatively new to the sport or have been lead climbing for a while but feel stagnant at a grade and are struggling to progress to the next level, this Rock Improver course will help you to evaluate your skills and identify what you may need to practice in order to succeed.
After a chat about your previous experience, where you are at and where you want to be, we will plan the day at a venue in Devon that best suits your needs.
We may start with some bouldering and low level traversing to warm up and have a think about what makes up fluid and energy efficient movement. Then we will progress to top roping on a rock terrain that best suits your development. By breaking down what makes good movement into individual parts, we can work on improving them in isolation to promote better understanding and technique to move from one position to another without destabilising your equilibrium of strength and balance. With this in mind we will work the fundamentals identified and you will go away with lots to practice. Using our experience, we will aim to identify and enhance your strengths and work on your weaknesses whether they are to do with technique, tactics, physical strength or head game.
