Physicality:
This hike takes place over rough, steep terrain, which can be slippery, particularly when wet. Mountain weather can be very changeable and it can be cold at altitude and in the wind. Days out in the mountains can be quite strenuous and challenging, so a good level of physical fitness will aid your enjoyment. The length will depend on the exact route taken, but you should be prepared for a long day out, with 10 miles being a reasonably comfortable distance for you. We keep the pace at a level to suit you, so that you can enjoy the sights along the way, whilst bearing in mind the ground that needs to be covered (short cuts/backtracking will take place if necessary. Your safety is our number one consideration).
Previous experience:
Previous hikes on hilly and uneven ground, taking in several miles is recommended, as are well worn-in walking boots.
